Pink and Brown Save the Date Cards

Aren’t these so cute?  Pink and brown weddings are so popular.  Why not tie in your wedding colors with your save the date cards?

They retail for $149.90 for 100 at Carlson Craft. I spoke to Ben at Bridal Par~Tee. They are offering a 20% discount to readers of this blog. Call or email him and make sure to mention you heard of them from Helpful Wedding Ideas.

Discount Invitations and Save the Dates

I’ve had many readers of this blog interested in wedding invitations and Save the Date cards/magnets. One vendor I used for these myself is GT Screenprint which I’ve mentioned in earlier posts. I forgot to mention that they’ll order your Carlson Craft invitations at 10% below retail. Plus, I’m pretty sure if you mention this blog, they might give you an extra 5% off. Weddings are expensive so save money every where you can! Carlson Craft’s website is www.carlsoncraft.com. Pick out what you like and let Ben know at www.gtscreenprint.com or 940.937.6320. I hope that helps you save a few dollars!

My Design of a Wedding Save the Date Card

My Own Save the Date Design

My Own Save the Date Design

A lot of people ask about Save the Date cards. There are so many options. You can always go with stock designs (a.k.a. like Carlson Craft) which are great and handy. Personally, sometimes I like to design my own. So I was playing around with a graphics program (trying to figure it out) and created this Save the Date card. I think it is cute. Not bad for only 15 minutes of my day. So now what? If you come up with a design of your own, here is my suggestion: Submit that design to a printer. They can then print them either as a business card or as a magnet. Then just mail those out. This might reduce your expense of Save the Date cards. For instance, talking with Ben of GT Screenprint, he can print your design on business cards (100 of them) for $50 including shipping to you. If you mention you heard about him from this blog, he’ll give you a 10% discount. He can print magnets too but they are pricier than business card style. If you need help designing one, look around at what you see online. Try to get inspired by these. If you’re still having a visionary block, talk to Ben. I am confident he can help you design your own custom Save the Date cards!

Adorable Save the Date Cards

Save the Date cards

Many neglect to send Save the Date cards.  They are so helpful for guests since many have to make travel arrangements.  It is good for them to know as far in advance as possible.

Once you decide you are going to send Save the Date cards, then you get to choose what style you like.  It’s potentially as involved as picking out your actual wedding invitations.  Prices range drastically as do styles.  Here is a style I found particularly adorable.  They are called Kids at Heart from Carlson Craft. You can find them at http://savethedate.singleresource.com/StaticPage.cfm?strShobaMainsavethedate.singleresource.com=612425184&intStaticPageID=14096.  If you do order anything from Carlson Craft (including wedding invitations), I recommend using GT Screenprint to order them.  That’s how I got my wedding invitations for less than what was listed on the Carlson Craft website.  GT’s site is http://www.gtscreenprint.com.
