When I became a wife, I had a whole new role to adjust to. One thing that included was cooking. Prior to being married, I ate “to-go” style food a lot. As a wife, I realized I needed to learn how to cook and become the Domestic Diva that I aspired to. My mother-in-law gave me a cook book at my bridal shower. Then I got 2 more cook books as wedding gifts. I love them! I use them frequently. It gives me confidence as I learn to cook plus gives us variety so we’re not eating spaghetti every night. :)
If you know a bride in a similar situation that I was in (domestically challenged), give a cook book as a gift. I like the “How to Boil Water”. That seriously covers basic kitchen things that I am too embarrassed to ask. Betty Crocker is also always good.
Bridal Par~Tee suggests pairing the cook book with an apron printed with her new last name (i.e. Mrs. Smith) to help her celebrate her new role in life. Help her embrace her inner domestic diva!
